What is Auto-Download in WhatsApp?
Auto-download is a feature in WhatsApp that automatically saves photos, videos, and other media files to your phone’s gallery as soon as you receive them. This means you don’t have to tap on each file to download it – WhatsApp does it for you!

- Open WhatsApp: Tap on the WhatsApp icon on your phone to open the app.
- Go to Settings: Tap on the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen, then tap on ‘Settings’.
- Data and Storage Usage: Tap on ‘Data and storage usage’.
- Media Auto-Download: Here, you’ll see three options: ‘When using mobile data’, ‘When connected on Wi-Fi’, and ‘When roaming’. Tap on each one and select the types of media (photos, audio, videos, documents) you want to auto-download.
