I am gonna show you how to watch your Hikvision DVR camera on your mobile phone. It’s super easy and you don’t need to be a tech expert to do it. Let’s get started!
What You Need:
- A Hikvision DVR
- A mobile phone
- The Hik-connect app
Step 1: Get the Hik-connect App
First things first, you need to download the Hik-connect app on your mobile phone. You can find it in the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Just search for “Hik-connect” and hit that download button.
Step 2: Connect Your DVR to the Internet
Your DVR needs to be connected to the internet for this to work. You can do this by plugging an Ethernet cable from your DVR to your router. If you don’t have an internet connection, don’t worry! I’ll show you another way later on.
Step 3: Add Your DVR to the Hik-connect App
Open the Hik-connect app on your phone and create an account if you don’t have one already. Then, click on the “+” icon to add your DVR. You can scan the QR code on your DVR or enter the serial number manually. Follow the instructions in the app, and you’ll be connected in no time!
Step 4: Watch Your Cameras on Your Phone
Once your DVR is added to the app, you can watch your cameras from anywhere. Just open the Hik-connect app, select your DVR, and choose the camera you want to watch. It’s that simple!
No Internet? No Problem!
If you don’t have an internet connection, you can still watch your cameras on your phone. Just connect your phone to the DVR’s Wi-Fi network. The network name and password are usually on a sticker on the DVR. Once connected, open the Hik-connect app, and you should be able to see your cameras.

- Make sure your DVR’s firmware is up to date for the best experience.
- You can also set up motion alerts in the Hik-connect app to get notified when something moves in front of your cameras.
